New Gen Engineers Academy
Hands-on learning in 3D Printing, CAD, Robotics, and Applied AI led by real engineering professionals.
View Our ClassesMaster the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and logic. Students design, build, and program advanced robotics kits to tackle complex challenges. This hands-on course covers gear ratios, torque, and sensor integration, culminating in high-energy classroom competitions.
Turn imagination into reality. Using professional design concepts simplified for young creators, students learn to model 3D objects from scratch. Students will operate our fleet of high-speed, enclosed 3D printers to manufacture their own custom-designed prototypes.
Discover how Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future of engineering! Students learn the fundamentals of machine learning, prompt engineering, and how to use AI tools responsibly to solve real-world problems. They will train simple digital models and learn how software and hardware connect.
We started this program because we saw a gap in traditional education. As engineers—and as parents to kids in elementary and middle school—we wanted to create the kind of hands-on environment where a fourth grader could learn the exact same foundational principles used in the real world.
We aren't just teaching abstract concepts; we are giving students the tangible tools to build their imaginations and solve real problems. Our goal is to make professional-level engineering and AI accessible, fun, and incredibly rewarding.
Our mentorship team is comprised of dedicated engineering professionals, including university-educated engineers, active collegiate scholars from top-tier universities, and industry veterans with decades of hands-on manufacturing experience.
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, UC Davis. 15+ years of professional aerospace experience spanning engineering design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
B.S. Civil Engineering, UC Davis. 10+ years of engineering experience in the energy and utility infrastructure sector.
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Cal Poly Pomona. Professional engineering experience in commercial vehicle manufacturing and custom industrial fabrication.
15 years of professional 3D design experience using SOLIDWORKS for commercial vehicle manufacturing and custom industrial fabrication.

View Portfolio ↗New Gen Engineers Academy provides hands-on, interactive technology classes for K-5 elementary students. We specialize in teaching real-world engineering skills through VEX IQ Robotics, 3D Printing, CAD design (using SolidWorks for Kids), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Not at all! Our programs are designed for all skill levels. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already loves tinkering at home, our instructors guide them step-by-step through the engineering design process in a fun, supportive environment.
We partner directly with local elementary schools and community centers across Downey, Bellflower, Paramount, and surrounding communities to host our programs. This keeps classes highly accessible and convenient for parents. Check our Interest Form to request NGE Academy at your specific school!
Not at all! We specifically use SolidWorks for Kids—a highly engaging, kid-friendly version of the industry-standard software used by professional engineers. It takes real-world 3D modeling tools and turns them into a fun, intuitive, and colorful experience. Kids learn fundamental engineering and spatial reasoning, and then get to watch their digital creations come to life on our 3D printers.
We proudly utilize the VEX IQ robotics platform. It is the premier educational robotics system designed specifically for elementary and middle school students. Kids learn mechanical design, basic coding, and problem-solving by building and driving their own custom robots.
